WHY ?
In search for a red leather jacket....
I first decided I wanted a red leather jacket when i watched The White Stripes "Dead Leaves in the Dirty Ground" a few years back. I loved this look worn by Meg White....
I own a version of this red leather jacket from the thriller video,which i had sourced vintage for a costume job! But its a hard style to pull off...
Red has long been used as a costuming device in movies, one of my favorite examples is "Don't Look Now" ,a 1973 independent British-Italian film directed by Nicolas Roeg,scariest film ever!
I also like the use of red leather in "Fight Club " directed by David Fincher and costumed by the amazing Michael Kaplan
